Makes Me Proud

So my brother has decided to finally cut off his hair. I think that it is actually longer than MINE! Not only has he decided to lose his trademark locks, but he has decided to donate them to "Locks Of Love", a non profit organization that provides hairpieces for financially disadvantaged children 18 years and younger suffering from long term medical hairloss.

On this site, there is a list of participating hair salons separated by state, most of which give a free haircut for a donation of 10 inches ( the accepted length in order to donate ). He happened to have gotten lucky, because one of my closest friends owns a salon in the town that he lives in and her salon is a participant in the program, although not listed on the site.

There are several people in my workplace who actually grow out their hair, just to donate it to this cause. I can think of about 4 off the top of my head.

If you are thinking about making a drastic change, and are thinking about cutting off your long hair (MOM? Are you listening?), think about donating it to this worthy cause. If you want to be encouraged, just check out the website at the recipient photos. They will be sure to melt your heart.......

Awwwww. That was so nice of your brother and I bet he looks so much better with short hair. Think about how many people would benefit if your mom cut hers! Hah.

Well...he hasn't done it YET. He is waiting for me to make an appointment with Angela for him. I wish my Mom WOULD consider. Her hair would be perfect, having never been colored, etc. Then again, neither has Dubs.
